Reconnected with long lost family

点评：My family immigrated from Romania in the early 1900s, but we lost contact with our relatives about 20 years ago. We decided to visit Romania for family vacation (11 of us in total) and try to reconnect with our roots. After doing some of our own genealogical research, we hired Daniel to help with the trip planning and some parts of the research that we couldn't do ourselves. Daniel delivered beyond our expectations.
The trip itself was wonderful. Jam-packed with activities, we feel like we saw all of Transylvania. Everything was taken care of, Daniel handled bookings, transportation, and translation for us. It was a whirlwind and we were exhausted by the end of it on account of doing so much (also we had a toddler, but it all went well).
In the months leading up to the trip, Daniel had actually visited the towns we believed we came from, looked through the archives, talked to the locals, and walked through the graveyards looking at names on headstones. About 2 weeks before the trip we had a breakthrough in the research and definitively found 4 families that were our relatives. Daniel adjusted the itinerary so we could visit with them. The families were extremely friendly, they hosted us for meals and drinks, and we got to know each other a little bit. Daniel helped facilitate the conversation and translate the entire time. They even had photos of us and our family home in America that they had kept all these years. It was an incredible experience!
We absolutely plan to come back to Romania and visit again. Daniel helped us fall in love with the country and the Romanian people.
