Misleading description, creepy and unsafe
Salt Plains State Park的点评
点评:Salt Plains State Park was completely abandoned when I was there last week. There were no other campers or park employees or rangers at all. I finally found my site (SST1) after a while of searching, and discovered that 1: it was not in a loop but basically off a large, public gravel parking lot that local cars pulled up to and parked throughout the night, and 2: although I deliberately picked a site that was across from a "comfort station" described as having "flush toilets and hot showers," it was, in fact, one of the stinkiest vault toilets I've ever encountered. No showers, no staff, no nothing. This place was a good stopover for digging crystals, yes, but left me feeling unshowered (obviously) and completely creeped out and unsafe. I would love to provide more detail but TripAdvisor has decided that I sound like AI and keeps rejecting my more thorough, thoughtful review.
