点评：We thoroughly enjoyed our Muddy Waters Anan Wildlife Observatory and LeConte Glacier tours in August 2024 and highly recommend Zach and his crew to anyone planning a trip to Wrangell. This was our second trip to Anan - we had previously been there with Zach in 2017 and we were so impressed with that trip that we planned our entire 2024 Alaska itinerary around Zach’s availability – we were not disappointed!
Zach’s new catamaran is the largest, fastest, quietest and most comfortable vessel we saw operating out of Wrangell and the rides to both Anan and LeConte were silky smooth, allowing us time to enjoy the spectacular scenery from the upper deck. Zach is a highly experienced skipper with detailed knowledge of the local conditions and is a wealth of information on the local wildlife and glacier and river systems. Nothing was too much trouble for Zach or his crew, they ensured everyone’s comfort and even charged our phones on the boat. Zach’s strong safety focus is one of the major reasons we chose him a second time – you want a highly experienced guide like Zach to lead you through the remote Anan Creek bear country.
Zach thank you for yet another spectacular bucket list experience! The new Anan platform was great (fantastic close ups of bears catching salmon from the lower deck) and drifting below the towering LeConte glacier face was awe inspiring, especially when that large “shooter” of deep blue ice broke off.
If we are fortunate enough to again travel to Alaska from distant Western Australia, more Muddy Water Adventures tours will be on our itinerary!
