点评：Ganesh sir is the best! For his experience and dedication to his craft, he charges peanuts, definitely (just ₹2500 for the two of us) - really grateful to him for an amazing morning full of nature, bird calls, and of course, crazy sightings :)
The highlights weren’t even spotting the Asian Fairy Bluebird, White-Bellied Black Woodpecker, Malabar Flameback Woodpecker, Velvet-Fronted Nuthatch, Orange-Bellied Thrush, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Malabar Parakeet, Emerald Dove, Orange Minivet, Rosefinch, various Warblers and a Pale-billed Flowerpecker - okay yes those were highlights for sure - but his perfect recognition, imitation and location of bird calls, and the behaviour patterns of them as well. Really shows that he keeps up with his solo birding to keep his knowledge up to date.
Felt like a nice morning walk, bird-watching with a friend. My father was also very impressed and felt 10 years younger with all that enthusiasm and curiosity. Here’s a photo of us three, and yes, I’d just heard the call of the Malabar Trogon when it was taken - we’ll find it some other day
