点评:I started off down at the bottom of the hill at Camp Elsdon Car Park which also has cameras installed for safety. There are 2 alternative routes to take to the Summit or Rangituhi. The easier one is quicker but, has over 750 steps which I did a couple of years ago and that was hard for me.
As I am in my 80's, I didn't want to rush it so, I continued upwards on the 2-way bike and walker's trail. It was an easy walk but very long, as it twisted and turned everywhere all the way. It took me 1 hour 45 minutes to the top and 21, 209 steps by my mobile phone. The return trip was just over 12 K's coming back the same way as I didn't want to do the stairs at my age. Bikers can go up one way so far but not downwards. They go back on another trail. Of course, there are always younger and fitter people who run up the trail. Not me!
