点评：I really wasn’t expecting much after reading some of the reviews and we had already seen 4 of the big 5 the day before in Taragire. The first half of the day was spent in the northern part. The vegetation there is pretty but dense and we really didn’t see much except for baboons, an occasional elephant and a waterbuck. The lunch site was beautiful with a panoramic view of the lake. After lunch we proceeded to the south to the fringes of the lake. The dead trees and flooded areas were both a bit sad looking but also beautiful in their own way. The Rift Valley scenery was lovely. And then the animals just exploded. We saw about 60 elephants many of which were so close we could almost touch them. Zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, waterbucks. But the highlight was towards the end of the day when we saw a pair of leopards lying on the branches of a dead trees. We were told it’s extremely rare to see 2 leopards together and it’s likely that they were together only because they were mating. I guess we just got lucky.
