点评：What a stunning lake to go for a walk around. The lake is on Wadawurrung Country. It is a natural freshwater lake of approximately 12 hectares in size. The lake occupies a depression probably formed by the dissolution of the underlying Curlewis limestone. The lake has a connection to the groundwater system which feeds the natural springs that run into Port Phillip Bay.
But for the average person walking this lake, it is just a lovely lake filled with birdlife with stunning, established trees around it's edges. The paths are in very good condition.
A few things to note... Dogs must be on leashes. No horses are allowed at a few points. There are snakes!
When I visited I saw a duck with several babies... she was herding them away from an excited mother and child who were videotaping them. I am not sure the mother duck appreciated the commentary. :)
