Second visit to celebrate my birthday but this year it didn't meet our previous fantastic meal

点评:Last year we visited this restaurant for my birthday and I couldn't say enough positive things about it and recommended it to friends visiting the island, so we decided to revisit this year for my birthday again.
We booked a table in advance so we could admire the beautiful views across the local landscape. On arrival the waitress didn't even look at the booking and was going to seat us on the opposite side overlooking the farm itself until we explained again. She wasn't particularly friendly to welcoming.
The menu was varied and of a similar price to last year. The food is cooked fresh in the open kitchen so we expected the wait for our food. I have to say the beef ribs which I chose on this occasion were very fatty and tbh disappointing and my husband chose a main dish that included courgette chips. He liked them but realised too late that "chips" in Barbados are now the same as America. What we call crisps and tbh not that filling as an accompaniment to his burger!
When it came to dessert the waitress seemed surprised that we wanted anything more and reeled off what was available. Neither of our desserts when they arrived were particularly great. My spiced rum cake was a bit dry, giving me the feeling that not many guests ask for dessert and maybe it wasn't at its freshest.
I nearly gave this an average but upgraded it to good because of the views and variety of mains on the menu.

到了甜点环节,服务员似乎对我们还要甜点感到惊讶,便滔滔不绝地介绍了所有可供选择的甜点。然而,我们点的两份甜点都乏善可陈。我的朗姆酒蛋糕有点干,让我感觉好像很少有客人点甜点,或许甜点不够新鲜。
我本来想给这家餐厅打个中等分,但考虑到餐厅的景色和菜单上丰富的主菜选择,最终还是给了“不错”的评价。
