Northeast Snowmobile & ATV Rentals的点评
点评：We stayed in North Conway. This location was about 40-minutes away (60-minutes when all said and done - see my breakdown later). An easy drive. The competitor, which we looked at first, was difficult to deal with. They didn’t allow you to rent without a guide unless you had two ski’s. I got the impression they’d throw a governor on the whole process and suck the fun out of it. Northeast definitely didn’t do that - ++
You drive to Gorham, then have to drive another 20-minutes to the actual place to pick up the ski. Not sure why they don’t combine, and didn’t read that anywhere. The whole arrive 45-minutes early is because of this. Everything else (filling out legal forms) takes minutes.
Interactions were great. The folks at ski pickup were great. Salt of the earth people. Talked a good ten minutes, just shooting the sh%t.
A few other notes:
Positive:
1. Ski’s are rather new.
2. Trails (even with what they consider low snow) are pristine.
3. They have rental gear to stay warm, etc. we didn’t need, but err on the side of caution.
Few issues:
1. Paid $300 and my girls heated handles didn’t work. We raised at takeoff and they just said “well, sometimes it takes a while.” When you can’t feel your fingers, you get one star.
2. The warming shed is everything. Spent a career as an Army officer, so land navigation wasn’t a problem. I encountered at least 10 lost people. That warming shed is not only the pinnacle of the trip from a view perspective, but it’s, well warming. Makes way back awesome as you’re warm.
