Must see for cycling fans, price can’t be beat (free)
Tour des Geants的点评
点评：Really nice historical exhibit on the tour. Pau essentially the most visited city in the history of the tour at this point, outside of Paris. This exhibit gives some really nice historical context along with photos from every single one of the editions of the Tour de France. It’s only in French and I’m not sure the online portion is still working but for being free it’s a really nice experience to learn more about the hero’s of the grand boucle.
Not great for kids due to all the displays being too high to see and it being very wordy but even people who are new to cycling can learn a bit about the historical context of the tour and why it’s so celebrated. You can probably walk around everything in about 15 min but to read all the displays throughly I think it would take around 40-60min, as after all there’s been over 100 years of history to go through.
I would argue it’s a must see for fans of cycling who are visiting this city but even non fans can profit.
