Awesome experience learning to kite surf

点评：I had a great couple of days at SoulKite in Ilha do Guajiru. Tomaz and his wife Amanda run a really welcoming setup, the property is beautiful, right on the water, and the on-site restaurant made everything super convenient between sessions. It’s also a super nice, comfortable place to chill between classes.
However, the highlight for me was working with Thiago (who also goes by Chokito). I arrived with very little experience and couldn’t even water start, and in my first class with him I was already getting up. He’s a super chill and funny guy with a calm, grounding energy, explains things clearly, and never makes you feel rushed. He also adjusted the kite size, setup, and technique moment to moment based on me and the wind, which made a huge difference. He also speaks fluent English, and while I’m conversational in Portuguese, this was important for me when learning such a complex sport in a short amount of time.
After a few days with him, I ended up riding for about an hour at sunset - which was hands down the best part of my trip! He made every minute count, and I really felt like I got my money’s worth.
I’m definitely coming back to SoulKite next season and already looking forward to my refresher classes with Chokito!

跟他一起玩了几天后，我终于有机会在日落时分体验了大约一个小时的滑翔伞——这绝对是我这次旅行中最棒的部分！他让每一分钟都物超所值，我真的觉得这钱花得太值了。
下个雪季我肯定还会再来SoulKite，而且我已经开始期待和Chokito一起上的复习课了！
