A respite of coldness
Wetex Parade的点评
点评：When Singaporeans think of shopping malls in Johor, we always think of AEON, Mid Valley, and KSL. But there are no such malls in Muar. The only decent looking mall in the city center is this Wetex Parade Mall along Jalan Ali. It hosts over 20 shops that provide amenities of various kinds inclusive of clothing, sportswear and equipment, jewellery, and food outlets.
You can find the fast-food Macdonald right near the entrance door. The smell of buttered toasted bread from the Baker House pervaded the air as I entered the mall. Coffee Beans & Tea Leaf, located beside the Macdona, d was crowded with patrons. For Japanese food, there is the Sushi Go in the middle of the atrium and Sushi King at the 3rd floor. The store supermarket was at the far end of the ground floor. There are the 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken and Texas Fried Chicken, which substituted the presence of KFC Chicken, and they seem to attract quite a crowd. There were no available seats at the Old Town White Coffee on the 2nd floor. The Hailam Kitchen at the upper floor was a bit quiet as I found their food was quite pricey.
When you are in Rome, eat as what the Romans do. I preferred to eat the popular cuisine of the masses, particularly the street food and their traditional delights, when I came to a foreign land. I bumped into a long queue at a restaurant stall by the name of `Ah Bing wan tan mee' at the vicinity of this mall. I had my late dinner here and enjoyed the food.
I also missed the ECO RM2.60 shop and the Lotus supermarket that was popular in JB.

我也错过了新山人气颇高的ECO RM2.60商店和莲花超市。
