点评：Balcones was an overall great experience! Kira was our tour guide and she was amazing! She made everyone feel welcome and encouraged us to ask questions throughout the tour. Even though we did the 6 PM tour she still had a ton of energy and enthusiasm. You start the tour with a bit of brand history and then walk through the different steps of whiskey production. Going through a bit of how Balcones takes their approach to spirits production compared to other distilleries.
With the tasting at the end, you get to taste 4 of the core Balcones offerings. Each one is unique in its own way. At the end of the tasting, you get to take home your mini-tasting glass.
After the tour, I highly recommend you stop by the bar. If you enjoyed something you can get another pour here. However, I recommend the tasting flight. You can try 3 new things (1/2 oz pour) for $12. I suggest you use this opportunity to try some of the more expensive Balcones offerings. If you like rum I also highly recommend that you give that a try here! Also, there is a selection of seasonal beers available. Nathan was our bartender and he was also great!
