I would like to echo a recent review regarding the experience at Lower Mill Estate Spa. My interaction with the staff mirrored what others have mentioned. Although the response suggests that guests should use the poolside entrance, we were specifically directed by the receptionist to walk through the automatic doors and via the "treatment corridor" to access the gym. The receptionist did not mention it was a treatment corridor nor to be mindful of this so first of all many of these instances can be avoided if the reception staff were more helpful and less contemptuous.
While waiting for someone to exit the bathroom, we were abruptly interrupted by a hostile staff member who rudely told us to lower our voices, even though we were simply waiting. It felt as though we were treated like outsiders, despite being guests at the nearby lodge.
There seems to be a clear difference in how the spa staff treat rental guests compared to residents, which is concerning. This kind of prejudice needs to be addressed, as it could lead to larger issues. I certainly will not be returning, nor will the 16 others who had booked with us and those staying in neighboring lodges. Customers will think twice about returning if these interactions continue.
