点评：The day after your arrival, the airline representative meets us. The information about our return lasts 5 minutes. Otherwise she will try to sell you excursions that are bad and very expensive. We paid $54us + $5us for insurance to go for a walk in the city of Samana in an uncomfortable truck/bus. It takes an hour to get to Samana where we walked 15 minutes in the market and spent 20 minutes in a store to buy rum that was $25us for a 700 ml bottle. Then take the bus back to get to where there are the colorful houses (where there are several shops) but they only took us to two shops and we couldn't go to the others because supposedly no time. Then board the bus to go see the church for 10 minutes. Then 30 minutes by bus to take us to see Playa Rincon where we stayed 30 minutes. We were told at that time, you can swim but as we were not told at the hotel, no one had brought their swimsuit! Reboarded the bus then headed to a ranch to eat a sancocho (soup meal) with rice and a dessert. Re-board the bus and return to the hotel. We were six French speakers. The guide spoke no French and little English.
When you go to Galeras village (you can go walking a long the beach, it’s 15 minutes walking distance) , there is a Small Food store where you can buy bottle of rhum 700 ml for $17us. Much cheaper than at Samana.
