Pleasant Distillery Stop with Good Tasting Options

点评：We stopped by Kinship House of Spirits during our visit to Prince Edward County and enjoyed our time there.
The property is charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas and a relaxed atmosphere. One of the highlights for our kids was seeing the chickens wandering around the grounds, which added to the rural County experience.
What stood out most was the tasting program. They offer a sampler that includes three spirits and a cocktail for $16, which we thought was good value, especially since it can easily be shared between two people. It was a nice way to sample several products without committing to full-sized drinks.
We tried the maple whisky, which was smooth and enjoyable, an aperitivo-style spirit that was light and refreshing, and a cassis liqueur that ended up being our favourite. The cassis had a rich black currant flavour and reminded us somewhat of an ice wine in its intensity and sweetness. We also sampled the saffron lemonade, which was refreshing and pleasantly spiced.
Bottle prices were in line with what we would expect from an independent craft distillery. Most 375 mL bottles were around $34.75. They also carried some unique chocolate bars, although at approximately $12 each they felt more like a specialty treat than an impulse purchase.
Overall, this isn't necessarily a destination on its own, but it makes for a very enjoyable stop while exploring Prince Edward County. Friendly atmosphere, interesting products, and a worthwhile tasting experience.
