Fascinating Tour Marred by Dishonest Practices

点评：I recently visited the Lockhart Tea Company in Munnar and was initially impressed by the experience. The tour was interesting, especially watching the process of black tea production. The early part of the visit was informative and enjoyable.
However, the experience took a disappointing turn. Toward the end of the tour, the guide switched to speaking only in Hindi, leaving non-Hindi speakers like myself feeling excluded. This lack of inclusivity detracted from the overall experience.
The biggest issue arose when we tried to purchase some tea. We were told that the white tea, a highly sought-after variety, was sold out. Strangely, we noticed that some other visitors were able to buy white tea after being shown a price on a calculator. These transactions were conducted in cash, raising serious concerns about transparency and fairness. This behavior felt underhanded and prejudiced, leaving a bad taste after an otherwise pleasant start.
While the tour offered insight into tea production, the unprofessional and discriminatory practices at the shop left me hesitant to recommend this experience. A greater focus on honesty and inclusivity would go a long way toward improving it.
