Highway 1 Road Trip的点评
点评：Everybody thinks that Highway one is completely closed, but that’s just not true. Ragged Point is very active and open where there are food options available, a hotel, a gas station and a great lookout.
We drove from San Simeon for about two hours to Limekiln Park and there were very few people on the road because apparently everyone thinks it’s closed.
There is a u-turn turnaround about two hours north of Ragged Point, but it is well worth the drive to go up and back.
We spent about three hours driving up and back and pulling off at the many pull outs to take photos of different viewpoints.
We did this Sunday, August 4, 2024 and if you’re reading this now, I would say that it’s a great time to go because there are dramatically less people than an average summer.
He will also be able to see the dramatic repairs that are being done along the highway, as well as the repairs that have already been done since there was major damage on multiple sections of the highway.
