点评：Our family of 3 enjoyed a truly fabulous Thanksgiving Day exploring the Kohunlich Ruins and kayaking at Bacalar (7 colors) Lagoon with Alondra (means "lark") and Heriberto ("illustrious warrior") of "The Native Choice." The Native Choice office was an easy walk from the Costa Maya, Mexico cruise port. It was really easy to find as it was located across the street from an easy to see landmark--a large Mayan Temple replica. That said, Alondra met us outside the office, even before we reached the traffic circle with the Mayan temple. She introduced herself, led us to the office, and, because all members of our small group tour had arrived, we enjoyed an early departure in a very nice white van. Throughout the journey to the Kohunlich Ruins, Alondra kept us entertained, informed and comfortable. With ease and competence, she provided facts, photos, food, and beverages as needed--plenty of everything. Heriberto was a terrific driver--careful and friendly in all the right ways. For a good amount of time we enjoyed the massive and well preserved ruins without interruption from other tours as we were the only ones there for much of the time. Even when the tour busses arrived, Alondra deftly skirted the big groups, keeping us a bit secluded. In addition to the ruins, we saw howler monkeys and a huge (6-7 foot!) snake that was sunning itself on the steps that we were walking on. Lunch was excellent, multiple types of tacos, chips, salsa, selection of beverages. Kayaking on the lagoon was a lot of fun too! Throughout the day we were treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. For us, The Native Choice was an excellent choice and we would absolutely be glad to work with Alondra and Heriberto again!
