点评:What an utter waste of time. Staying in Palm Springs I decided to take the drive down around Salton “Sea”, and then over to Anza Borrego. I started off with a lunch at Shields date farm which was an absolute fabulous event.
I then drove to the California state parks visitors center which I had already verified would be open on the day I visited in order to purchase a guide or book on the area. I arrived at 1:00 pm to be told that they closed at 1 to 2 for lunch so all plans I had to purchase some kind of guide or book went out the window.
At that point after the 45 minute drive out I drove a little bit further but without some kind of book or guide it seemed pointless. It’s just basically a big chemical puddle with old crappy cement buildings that are falling down and covered in spray paint. Save yourself the pointless drive. And I got suckered jnto paying the park fee when I had to turn around when the visitors center wasn’t even open during posted business hours.
