Last-minute private tour was personalized to give us our dream day in Jamaica

点评：My cruise cancelled our planned excursion less than 24 hours before we reached Jamaica. There were 6 of us and we all pretty upset that we had nothing to do the next day. But luckily, I had read about Phillip Country Tours, had their information saved, and was able to book our perfect Jamaican adventure with them at the last minute. Our tour guide, Tyrone, was waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship in Falmouth and he was the best host we could ask for! The original tour was to Nine Miles and Dunn River Falls, but we really just wanted to do Nine Miles and an authentic Jamaican meal, so he made that happen for us. He was also very accommodating in stopping along the way so we could buy beverages for the long ride.
Despite Tyrone's best efforts, we were too busy buying drinks to make it to Captain Crazy's tour at Nine Miles (my companions didn't know who he was so they weren't in any hurry), but the tour was still amazing and Tyrone never rushed us despite the fact we seemed to be staying much longer than most groups.
When we stopped to eat, Phillip, the owner, came to the restaurant to check up on us to make sure we were happy with our day, which we assured him we were. Again, Tyrone let us take our time and helped us to navigate the restaurant and menu.
I understand wanting to play it safe with excursions purchased with a cruise line, but we got a personalized private tour that we'll remember forever for less money than our original excursion. I don't think we would have enjoyed a group excursion nearly as much as we did our private tour with Tyrone. When we return to Jamaica, we will be sure to use PCT again for our travel on the island.
