点评：Long overdue review - in short WOW!
My husband and I initially booked Ape Tours for just airport transfer and then poor Umberto could not get rid of us for the week! We were traveling over Christmas week and completely hijacked Umberto's holiday!
Each day Umberto made sure to make himself available and took us all over the place - I wanted to track down kitchen supplies to bring home and research information about my grandparents from three different small towns in Sicily. Umberto was so kind to us! He researched the towns, located the administrative offices and helped me find copies of my Grandfather's birth certificate! He drove us from Palermo to Ortigia at the end of our week and kindly waited with our luggage while I shopped at the outlets.
We felt like we were visiting cousins, we were so comfortable traveling together - one day I was tired, didn't feel great and just wanted to take a nap in the van while Umberto and my husband went to enjoy lunch and sightseeing - I had to insist a bit, but once Umberto believed I was really ok with taking a nap and wanted them to just enjoy themselves they went and enjoyed themselves. My husband who doesn't know any Italian or Sicilian had a great time having lunch with Umberto and would readily go out with him again.
So there you have it - they fully took care of us from formal arrangements for airport transfer to administrative offices, to ad hoc requests and long days. I can't wait to return and travel again with Umberto. I recommend Ape Tours to anybody going to the western part of Sicily.
