Intercounty tunnel walk is good fun.
Brampton Valley Way的点评
点评：Runs between Northampton and Market Harborough on the old railway line route. The Northampton end starts with real train track and rusty locomotives and railway nostalgia kit knocking around where they run very short trips on real locos for kids now and then. But 3 miles of track is not that thrilling.
The walk isa bit dull for the first few miles heading north as the greenery that cloaks the path limits your views of the rolling countryside. Its more fun 10 miles of the 16 when you hit the tunnels, which you can walk though and are very dark, reflectors on the tunnel walls allowing for cyclists to use.
The two tunnels on route are the clear highlight.,400 plus meters long with vents half-way in streaming welcome daylight . The Oxenhall tunnel is damp inside and slippery to foot so maybe worth taking a pocket torch to check your step. Small Stalagmites drip cool water down your neck in places to create all year puddles..It has a brilliant echo.
An old disused army fuel depot sits a stride the path near the Kelmarsh tunnel but recently repaired security fences keep your out.. The other tunnel is much slicker with a solid floor.
So this one is better for a performance walk from A to B type thing as its samey for most of it, Plenty of benches to sit down on and not that busy, the occasional hello to cyclists and dog walkers. E-Bikes are allowed so headphones not advisable.. Take snacks as no villages on route although a small holiday park has a cafe around half-way.
Good all terrain walking surface and I didn't see any litter on the route, or, indeed, litter bins, a welcome surprise.
As I say its a bit boring in the middle miles but job done and a pleasant 16-mile intercounty walk done.

所以这条路更适合从A点走到B点，因为大部分路段都千篇一律。有很多长椅可以坐，而且人也不多，偶尔还会碰到骑自行车的人和遛狗的人。电动自行车可以通行，所以不建议戴耳机。沿途没有村庄，所以建议带些零食，不过半路附近有一个小型度假公园，里面有一家咖啡馆。
这条路的路面状况良好，全地形行走，我没有在路上看到任何垃圾，或者说，没有垃圾箱，真是个惊喜。
正如我所说，中间几英里有点无聊，但总算完成了任务，愉快的16英里跨县徒步之旅也结束了。
