First-class guide - he made us feel like VIPs!

点评：We hadn’t firmly decided on hiring a guide before coming to Petra, but when we got chatting with Abdullah near the ticket office and he was so friendly, helpful and honest about using the services of a guide, we decided to have him help us discover this fabulous place - and we are so glad we did!
He chatted through the options and we made a plan to walk through the whole valley for a half day tour, exploring the Royal Tombs, at sunrise the next day. Abdullah’s English is fantastic and he has a cheerful, easygoing nature so we looked forward to the day itself.
On the morning, we met at the ticket office and walked through the site. His recommendation to go early was excellent - there weren’t many people around and it felt very special. He made sure that our first glimpses of The Treasury were really special and it was a really fun experience.
Abdullah is also brilliant at photography and took lots of pictures of us at certain places - we’d never had got this amazing momentos without him. We also leant so much more about the history and uniqueness of the site. He also knows everybody which made for a fun experience - he helped us negotiate with local sellers and was candid about how to interact with them. We felt like a couple of VIPs as he cleared the way for our photos!
All in all, we can highly recommend Abdullah. He has a young family to support yet never asked for more and was very transparent re pricing etc. His knowledge of the site and history is first-rate and with the fun aspects of his personality and ace photography skills, he is the No1 to hire here!
