点评:What a beautiful relaxing Botanical Gardens. With meandering pathways that lead from one section of the garden to another. Along each pathway some superb views. The Curator’s Cottage at the entrance sets the tone for the Gardens. The Croquet Green surrounded by flowering roses, the lush green of varying tones throughout contrasting against and under more established trees. The open green spaces with BBQ with picnic tables close by and bench seating add to the variety within the Gardens.
The memorial to George Bills, who provided finances for horse troughs in Australia and overseas, is evidenced by one of the horse troughs next to it. The open garden beds being prepared for the next season’s Dahlia display. The garden is well curated and meticulously maintained. Even the toilets look as if they have been curated into the overall plan. Admission is free and it is open every day from sunrise to sunset. It is disability accessible with the paths making it easy to enjoy the gardens.
Return? Already on the bucket list for a return around Easter to catch the Dahlia display.
