点评：This building can be accessed via the comprehensive 48 hour FVG card Aquileia that can be purchased at the Tourist Information Office.
This building is located on the opposite side of the Campanile to the Basilica and can be easily missed. We walked past it before reviewing our map and locating the single plain entry doorway.
Excavations at this site have discovered several different layers of mosaic floor that date from the 1st century AD to the 5th Century AD. The latter floors, that are beautifully coloured with mosaics, belonged to The Bishop's Palace.
The archaeologists have managed to keep the mosaic tiled sections of the different time periods at their original height levels so that some of the sections look as though they are floating in mid-air.
