At that point, we genuinely believed they had simply taken the €100 deposit we had paid.
When we were finally taken to the port, we explained that, given the poor service, we only wanted to pay a slightly reduced amount. Instead of showing any understanding, they reacted rudely and told us they would rather cancel and refund our money. In the end, we were forced to pay the full amount in order not to lose the excursion altogether. Once on board, we discovered that all other customers had been picked up on time and without any issues. The excuse we were given for our delay was that the owner had “no coverage” because he had to take his brother to the doctor — but if that was the case, why were all the other customers unaffected and picked up on time?
To make matters worse, a few days earlier I had clearly informed them that I have a severe peanut allergy. I was assured this would be taken into account. Despite this, several dishes served on board contained peanuts, and not a single member of the crew made the effort to warn me, which put my health at serious risk.
This entire experience was deeply unprofessional, stressful, and unsafe. I cannot recommend this company under any circumstances.
