点评:Each summer, I visit the beaches of Spring Lake and of Belmar. Belmar has metered parking at the boardwalk, but there is free parking just a few blocks away from the beach. It is nice to walk around the boardwalk, and there are many restaurants, bars, and other shops. Many of the houses across from the beach are quite scenic. In the summertime, the beach is very enjoyable, and I always enjoy the ability to take a swim, to walk around, and to relax on the sand. What really vexes me is what I feel is the desire of most of these beach towns to charge a beachgoer a fee to go onto the beach. I find it to be despicable to charge the people such an exorbitant fee. I would prefer to not have to deal with what I consider to be the harassment of the lifeguards and of the constant and of the superfluous presence of the police officers. While I support the police officers making their rounds, in my opinion, it is definitely too strong of a police presence. I feel like so many of these beach towns are really hungry for extra money.
