A custom drive worth every penny.
Inverness Custom Tours的点评
点评：We hired them to drive us from Sterling to Inverness via Glencoe and it was a highlight of our trip to Scotland. Ali, our tour guide was great, stopping at all of the big and small important stops along the beautiful mountain drive. While I was hoping to have a walk through the mountains the weather didn’t cooperate at that time. But later in the day she took us to a little known trail that had a lovely view and some unexpected, happy sights.
She also took us to Clava Cairns which I hadn’t known about but found to be a bit spiritual being among the 4,000 year old earthwork. We even had an up close and personal experience with an Hairy Coo!
Ali was fun, funny, knowledgeable and a real pleasure to be around. She also gave us lots of recommendations with the city of Inverness (which we thoroughly enjoyed!)
While a custom tour is not an inexpensive way to reach Inverness from Sterling or Edinburgh, it definitely beats dealing with the narrow, windy roads… on the opposite side of a car or the opposite side of the road. Both myself and my sister in law were able to fully enjoy the views instead of only the passenger. And the Glencoe mountain range is not to be missed!!
