Weedon Royal Ordnance Depot的点评
点评：Visited with a friend. This is a very interesting place and free to visit. Once an extensive Ordnance Depot, former cavalry training barracks etc. There is a small visitor centre which gives a little of the past history through the ages since the depot was built in 1804. There are lots of buildings still standing, one houses a micro brewery, another a book shop/cafe, antique shops and a ladies boutique. The guide in the visitor centre is 3rd generation of a family who worked at the depot and gave us the benefit of his extensive knowledge. We enjoyed a coffee and a browse round the antiques and a walk by the canal (now detached from the main canal) but once used to ferry goods in and out. Watched the ducks and swans for a while too. There is a burger/snack van if wanted An interesting afternoon out.
