A lovely afternoon on the water with icebergs!

点评：We really enjoyed this trip. We did a different boat tour in another part of the province and saw puffins, but were hoping to see whales and hopefully an iceberg so we made the trip to Bonavista.
We only saw 1 while (a minke), but we knew it was early in the season. The hosts were clear about this when we booked, plus they were also very up front about perhaps not being able to go out on the boat if the weather was too choppy (I see reviews below that talk about safety). Yes it was rocky, but we felt very safe and there were options to be both above and below.
The highlight for us were the icebergs. The boat brought us very close to 2 icebergs and gave us plenty of time to take pictures, learn about them, etc. We circled each iceberg 3 times, plus we were also able to touch a fragment that Barry picked out of the water.
Beer was available on board for purchase, which was a nice surprise. Beautiful afternoon on the water. It was worth the drive from St. John's for us!
