点评：Can’t believe it took me 10+ years/trips to discover this natural infinity pool! Calm clear water protected from powerful ocean waves by a long wall. I love to snorkel and my partner loves to chill in calm waters and you get both here. Snorkeling along the wall there are so many nooks and crannies for small but very lively sea creatures. Off the wall there are patches of rocks and sea grass; it was interesting to see the different “neighborhoods” under water. Biggest fish I saw here were about a foot long, but honestly you never know because at a similar place (Playa Sardinera in Hatillo) in knee-deep water I saw dozens of 2-3 ft barracudas 😂 On this day it was rough past the wall which gave occasional overflowing waterfalls on the rocks which was cool and exciting. You can feel the temperature difference between the cold sea water and the warm pool water. Depending on the day, parts can be quite shallow. At times I had to maintain a fully straight floating body to pass shallow patches. It’s tempting to just stand up and walk but there’s still so much life in those shallows! Other areas no more than waist deep. Lots of kids free to play in still waters close to shore. Adults kicking back with drinks in hand. Umbrella and chair rentals $10 and $5 each respectively. No facilities or lifeguards that I saw. Some trees so get there early to snatch a shady spot if you need it. 1-2 food trucks on the side of the road. Street parking and very close to airport for one last hurrah before leaving the island. Must pass through Loiza which is one of my favorite local towns in all of PR. Definitely coming back here and would recommend no matter young/old, beginner/experienced swimmer, social/bookworms etc.
