Don't take the Dominguez Escalante tour

点评：We booked and took the Dominguez Escalante tour. We were very excited to take a combination paddleboard/kayaking tour that included a hike and waterfall. 8 hours seems long, but no where did it mention that more than 2 of the hours would be spent in a van traveling to and from the water. Nor were we told the trip would not include the waterfall advertised on their website and why we chose this specific tour. Our guide, Deja, indicated she was very concerned about safety and gave a long talk about safety procedures, but then when we approached rapids, just told us to follow her like ducks and went her merry way. When one of our paddleboarders got stuck, she was so far gone, she had no idea. When later one was injured again, no where near to assist. The first aid kit was dried up and unusable. The paddleboard and kayak equipment was sound, but no carabiners were provided to hold items to boards. We lost one water bottle to the rapids. On the positive side, the lunch was delicious and had a good mixture for both our vegetarian and our meat lover. We were also required to carry the boards, kayak, paddles and other supplies up a steep bank, over a railroad track and to the truck while Deja stayed at the river to rinse the equipment in the river. We would recommend staying away from this trip. Shame on them for not divulging that the trip itinerary was modified and shame on us for not confirming they were sticking to the trip on their website.
