What a brilliant boat tour! The perfect addition to a family day in the lakes.

We visited Greythwaite on Bank Holiday Monday for their boat tour as a family of four, with our two children aged 3 and 4. It was the perfect addition to a fantastic day in the Lakes.
Firstly, I’d like to thank Sara for making the booking process so quick and easy. We booked at the last minute on a busy Bank Holiday, yet everything was handled smoothly and seamlessly.
On arrival, we met Lachlan, who was friendly, welcoming, and professional from the start. After getting kitted out, we headed straight onto the lake. The boat seats up to nine people, so as a family of four we had plenty of room to spread out and move around. This meant we could enjoy different viewpoints throughout the trip, with the front of the boat quickly becoming our favourite spot.
The tour lasted around an hour and took us down towards Bowness, around the small island, and back along the opposite side of the lake, where we admired the beautiful lakeside properties and scenery. Lachlan took the time to point out places of interest along the way and happily answered our many questions, helping to make the experience both enjoyable and informative.
This boat tour was part of a birthday day out in the Lake District. Combined with a lovely lunch at The Swan Hotel & Spa and some paddling by the river, it was the perfect activity to round off a wonderful day.
We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area and would happily do it again on a future visit.
