点评:I heard the story of the staircase years ago, so I've always wanted to see it for myself. Parking seems to be the one issue, as it is an old city and it is right in the middle. We sprung for a lot that was about a block away for $20 for the day. An easy walk, we happily paid the $5 admission fee, and went inside. Yes it is small, but well preserved. You can get close to the staircase. What was more of a miracle was that it was built originally without a banister. You'll see a picture they have on display there. How a nun negotiated the stairs going up or down in a long gown without plummeting to the ground headfirst is a miracle in itself. You are not limited to the time you spend here, you can take as long as you like. A gift shop is attached with quite a few items. From here it is a pleasant walk to the old town, where lots of shops and art galleries are located. Very enjoyable visit.
