点评：I have just returned from a fabulous 3 week birding trip to Northern Peru guided and safely driven by the wonderful and very personable bird and cultural guide Cesar Bollatty.
I am an experienced world birder with a world list approaching 6000. My Peru list already stood at 500 and I had birdied in many South American countries over the last 20 years, but I still had a reasonably long list of target birds to see. The big 4- Scarlet-banded Barbet, Long-whiskered Owlet, Marvellous Spatuletail and White-winged Guan were all well seen and I got a further 150 lifers, many of them endemic or near endemics. My birding friend who had not been to Tropical South America before had well over 400 new species out of a total of almost 500 total species.
Cesar is highly recommended and is now a friend for life.
