The Five Stans Tour - The best way to see Central Asia

点评：This was my second Koryo tour having previously visited to North Korea, and this was a significantly longer tour than that, with the seemingly daunting task of visiting '5 Stans' over approximately 3 weeks.
The tour was excellently organised (as all Koryo tours are), taking in a mixture of day to day living and culture, ancient history along the Silk Road, more recent Soviet history, along with museums, and various curiosities along the way. While the days were packed with sights and activities, there was still room for some surprises and additional sights which was a nice bonus.
The Tour Leader, Rich, is jovial and experienced in the customs and ways of Central Asia and coupled with a series of local guides in each location, we had great guidance and insight into this less visited part of Asia, travelling via a mixture buses, cars, jeeps, high-speed trains and planes.
The tour might not be for everyone, with varied accommodation ranging from tents, yurts, old Soviet hotels (some past their former glory), local guesthouses, right up to modern day palatial hotels. However if you are curious about Central Asia, have the spirit of adventure or would like to tick off the 5 Stans in 1 trip, then I cannot think of a better or more rewarding way to do it!
