点评:Manly Markets is a decent sized market which operates on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s very easy to walk to the markets from the ferry. As you leave the ferry terminal, just walk straight ahead to the large, pedestrian zone known as the Corso which links the ferries to the beach. On weekends, the market covers a large section of the Corso and stretches around into Sydney Rd as well.
I have wandered through several times and I always find it bright and cheerful - perhaps because, like Bondi Markets, it’s right by the sand and the sea and has a great beachy vibe.
There’s a good variety of stalls, with lots of jewellery, bags, homewares, art and photography.
Not surprisingly, there’s lots of sun hats and resort and beach-style clothing.
There are some hand-made goods. Red Dog Designs has caught my eye in the past. They do unique graphic art art on wooden blocks, coasters and tea towels and would make great, very original souvenirs.
You won’t find a lot of food stalls. Unlike many weekend markets, there’s no one main food court area. This is probably because there are so many cafes, restaurants and bars already in Manly that theres too much competition.
