点评：I have visited africa several times, morocco, kenya and tanzania had been my former destinations and this time i wanted to try something new. I began my research and found out that Ghana would bring most birds and maybe was the safest choice in west-africa. In april 2024 i found the company of adventure birding tours and
I began talking with Kwame Brown who is the owner and tour leader of the company.
The trip was a budget birding trip and lasted for 16 days. Me and 3 other companions from USA, UK and germany took this trip together with our exellent guide Kwame. Me and my german friend arrived in accra 1 day prior of the 2 others. We visited the following areas, sakumono lagoon, shai hills, muni lagoon, winneba plains, Kakum NP, Abrafo forest, Antwikwaa forest, brenu beach road, Ankasa NP, Picathartes site, Opuro forest, Mole NP, Egyptian plover site, Bobiri forest and Atewa forest reserve.
In 16 days we bagged 419 species(only a handful heard) The birding was very good and Kwame Brown is a very skilful and experienced guide and bird finder. He could identify all the birds we saw and heard. For my part I can highly recommend Kwame as both a tour guide, bird finder and as a person to travel with in several days.
He made all the preparations and we could just focus on birding. The tour itself went smooth(only a couple of flat tires). I have added some photos from this trip.
