点评:I am a manual, active wheelchair user and found the accessibility to be okay. The car park is entirely gravel - even around the blue badge spaces, but it wasn't super loose to the point I couldn't wheel (though, I did have to go in the road).
There were probably about five blue badge spaces, which is not enough for such a busy place - I had to be dropped off at the entrance, and my mum parked in the overflow. If you can only park in blue badge spots/close by spots, then I would definitely reccomend not visiting during peak times.
After the car park, the pathway to the ice-cream parlour is fully paved and quite smooth. However it is quite narrow so I struggled to get past the queue on the way out (I have quite a narrow chair, but I imagine that a powerchair user would struggle a lot more regarding the width of the pathway).
There are built in ramps for the entry and exit; indoors, there is a large space to move through as there is only one row of tables.
The kids playground area was covered in mulch/bark so was likely a no go for any wheelie kids or parents :(
Also, during peak periods there seems to be a lack of seating and a very long queue - if you struggle with standing defo bring something with to help - there is also no shade.
I also have coeliac disease and found that almost all of the flavours of ice-cream had no gluten-containing ingredients! We spoke to one of the workers, who gave the usual "we can't 100% guarantee" spiel, but she said her niece was coeliac and was very reassuring about the production process. All staff were incredibly knowledgeable, they changes gloves, washed scoops, and used fresh tubs. They even had gluten free cones (Tesco free from lol). I always wait a day or two to review GF food (just in case) and so far I have been perfectly fine x
The little milk vending machine was pretty cool, although it took ages and almost didn't work. The vanilla one is really nice.
Overall it was a pretty good visit, I could get in and out and eat pretty much what I wanted so 🤷♀️
