点评：We were lucky enough to see this garden on a lovely warm summer's day. My friend had read about this garden and was keen to visit. We weren't disappointed. We arrived and were met by the owner/gardener who kindly explained the origins and layout of the garden. The gardens only cover about an acre but the place is really magical with its different "rooms" and planting styles. As it's late in the season, some of the flowers were just on the way out, but the oveall effect was still glorious. it's a little slice of heaven. There is a large flower area, a pare-terre, a topiary garden, a physic garden and a more courtyard style area with some fabulous doorways. There are seating areas at key spots and wonderful old stone bowls and troughs dotted about the garden. The various old buildings, walls and doorways add to the atmosphere and give it an almost meditative quality. I loved it.
