Beautiful beach, great surf but numerous hazards.

点评：A really stunning beach. It also has some great surf, but hazards are numerous which is why I rate it 3 stars.
If interested in surfing, I would recommend it as a spot for intermediate/Advanced surfers only, who are strong swimmers. This is due to a number of hazards that aren't immediately obvious to the untrained eye.
Surf will be significantly bigger than East/West Strands due to its exposed location. It can also appear smaller than it is from the shoreline.
There seems to be a "permanent" rip current/channel that usually forms roughly near the big white rock just past the entrance. I came across also a deep trench very close to shore that has probably been created by this rip.
There's usually also temporary flash rips in bigger surf.
Be careful around the caves on the Eastern end of the beach as this side of the beach can get cut-off from the Entrance on an approaching high-tide.
If you are unsure about the conditions, speak to the lifeguards.
You can get a good view of the conditions at the headland above the lifeguard hut, but I wouldn't recommend walking up here from a safety point of view as there's sheer cliff drop-offs, with no railings, immediately as you reach the top.
For swimming/splashing. Definitely stay within the lifeguard flags even if the surf is small.
