点评:Where do I even begin? Manh (or Mandy, as she goes by in English) was absolutely phenomenal. This was hands down one of the biggest highlights of our trip.
We stayed in Old Quarter, so venturing into the Vietnamese countryside was a refreshing change. The day we visited, there was a huge festival at the temple—vendors selling fresh produce, meats, sticky rice, and so much more. There were performances, beautiful sights, and incredible energy. Manh guided us through it all, helping us pick out the best local foods and even introducing us to specialty herbal stalls—a truly eye-opening experience.
From there, we walked through the farms—pomelos, cilantro, broccoli, tomatoes, and so many herbs and vegetables. Manh explained how farmland is divided and acquired, giving us a deeper appreciation of the rural lifestyle.
Then came the most special part—walking through her village and visiting her home. We were welcomed like family and got to cook a four-course Vietnamese meal with her. From chopping techniques to high-quality cutlery, everything was a learning experience. We even bought the same knives we used in her kitchen—talk about taking a piece of the trip home!
And the best part? She followed up by texting us all the recipes. So now, I get to relive this experience in my own kitchen.
1000/10. Manh is an incredible guide, a wonderful host, and truly made this an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Hanoi, this is a must-do. Highly recommend! 💛🔥🥢
Manh(或 Mandy,这是她的英文称)绝对是了不起的。
