Skyline Hawaii - Premium Price but VERY disappointing experience - save your money

点评：Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate for our tour—clouds and rain rolled in, so we missed out on the sunset. While disappointing, we understand that’s always a possibility with this type of experience.
However, the much bigger letdown was our guide, Glenn. While everyone can have an off day, this experience was well below expectations. My son, now a young adult, hasn’t had car sickness in years, but he became ill on the way up the mountain. Despite this, there was no adjustment in Glenn’s driving—still very jerky and inconsistent. On the descent, even once we were off the winding roads, the stop-and-go style continued, including a sharp U-turn in the median, which seemed to worsen things. My son ended up refusing to get back on the bus after breakfast and was ready to take an Uber home at his own expense just to avoid more discomfort.
Beyond the driving, the overall guiding experience was disappointing. Years ago, we did this same trip and recommended it to everyone because of how informative and engaging it was. This time, there was very little educational content about the island—more about Glenn’s personal life than anything else. He even mentioned that he might stop on the way down if the clouds cleared a bit, but we didn’t make a single stop.
Given the cost of this tour, it should be a premium experience. While weather is unpredictable, the quality of the guide and the overall execution should never be. At this time, I would not recommend this tour to others—it simply did not deliver the value promised.
