点评:Not your typical tourist destination, but this is a fascinating place to visit if you can make it fit into your travel plans.
For reference - it seems to be down to only one day per year now (3rd Saturday in October) - read the US Army site carefully. We arrived at 7:45am (gates open at 8am), got through the main gate at 9:15am, then it's about a further 20-30mins drive to the car park near the Trinity site, so about 2hours from joining to the queue to getting to the site. After visiting the site itself, the ranch building, and making our way back out, we left the site at 12:15pm, so about 4.5hours for the entire round trip. When we were leaving the queue was still very lengthy - I'd be surprised if some of those folks even made it in before the gates close to arrivals at 2pm (Trinity site closes at 3:30pm). The message is - plan ahead and arrive early.
