点评：This is certainly one of the most photographed spots in the whole Val d'Orcia and maybe Tuscany.
About 6 kilometers from the center of San Quirico d'Orcia, traveling northeast along the Via Cassia, you reach the famous cypress trees of San Quirico.
They are nothing more than a row of cypress trees, perched on a hill near "I Triboli", but they are a symbol of both the Val d'Orcia and, by extension, all of Tuscany.
The cypress trees of San Quirico are often depicted on souvenirs and postcards, and have become one of the most photographed landmarks for tourists visiting this part of the region. The hilly group on which the cypress trees stand divides the Val d'Orcia from the valley of the Ombrone river, which extends into the province of Grosseto, after the river has crossed the southern part of the Chianti hills and the so called "Crete Senesi", "Sienese Clays," a distinctive clay-rich landscape located southeast of Siena.
