Dory Trip: Lees Ferry to Whitemore Wash June 2025

点评：We had an amazing 2 week Dory trip down the Grand Canyon! All of our guides and boat crew were friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and skilled. You could tell how much each of them loved and cared for the Grand Canyon and the importance of protecting it for future generations. They educated us on geology, history and were always reminding us that this is still the home for many local tribes and we were to hike with a clean heart and be respectful of these sacred places.
The crew took care of us from sunrise to sunset! They cooked delicious meals, set up camp (including the “groovers”) every evening and broke it down every morning. They read poetry, told stories, played beautiful music under the stars (and in Blacktail Canyon) and guided us on gorgeous hikes to places like North Canyon, South Canyon, the Nankoweap Granaries, the Little Colorado, Elves Chasm, Stone Creek waterfalls, Deer Creek Falls patio, Havasu Creek, and Fern Glen Canyon. All of this IN ADDITION to safely rowing us down the thrilling, and sometimes scary, white water of the Colorado River! We all made it down safely, no flips on this trip!
Seeing the Grand Canyon from the river is an incredible experience that I highly recommend! The beauty surrounds you and there is so much life in this desert setting. The side canyons were gorgeous, I was not expecting fern covered walls and waterfalls in the summer! We saw a multitude of birds, deer and big horn sheep. And those night skies….they were awesome, in the true sense of the word.
