点评:We live in Wooler and have seen this remarkable build take shape, through Covid, terrible weather, tough deadlines. We went inside as all the Woolerites were invited to have a free wander through before the official opening. We also opted for a Distillery Tour which we paid for. Have to say the interior is really impressive. Striking use of natural materials and light and airy. The distillery itself is spacious and the stills with their copper gleaming look the biz! We went to the whisky tasting after the very informative tour and sat in the tasting room with beautiful projections on all walls of the surrounding countryside but diffused, going through the seasons. Our questions about whisky were all, however silly, answered with expertise. And the initial blended whisky Tacnbora was soft and smooth. Didn't see much of the museum or the dining facilities on this visit but will be going back to check this out.
