点评：Visiting the American Museum of the House Cat felt less like going to a museum and more like stopping by a fellow cat lover’s home — one with an unbelievable collection and an open-door vibe. From the second I walked in (with my own cat, Barb, in tow), we were both welcomed with warmth. Barb got treats, I got smiles, and the house cats on-site made sure we felt right at home as we explored.
The museum itself is packed with charm and personality. Every corner has something to discover — from ancient Egyptian cat artifacts to quirky mid-century toys, folk art, vintage posters, and cat-themed everything. You can feel the passion in every display, and honestly, I caught myself grinning more than once just soaking it all in.
As a cat lover, this place is basically my Disneyland. But even if you’re not a full-blown feline fanatic, there’s something here for everyone — whether it’s the history, the art, or the pure creativity of it all. Plus, proceeds support the Catman2 Shelter, a no-kill, cage-free sanctuary for cats, which just makes the whole experience feel even more meaningful.
It’s off the beaten path, but 100% worth the drive!
