Stunning food - along with one of the warmest welcomes for a birthday meal

点评：To celebrate a special birthday we decided to try a leisurely lunch at Greystone Winery just outside Christchurch around a 1 hour drive from the CBD.
A warm welcome from Olivia at the bar and the chef was advised of dietary requirements in advance -
The starters were superbly put together with a delicious Hemp Vegan Recotta. Excellent house bread /olive oil / balsamic dip and freshly picked radishes with a dill dip.
Main courses were equally impressively put together with such freshness and unusual flavour combinations.
Greystone Sparkling Pet Nat was delightfully served and well with starters / main course.
Late Harvest Riesling was enjoyed with the deserts.
Cameron the chef not only prepared food well worth driving 1 hour for, he excelled by making the food with such detail and flavour along with his personal understanding of local ingredients that we will undoubtedly visit again but with friends to enjoy the experience all over again.
